Vacation-plan

Every summer Foundation Meant to Shine organizes the 'vacation-plan'. Children from the different projects participate, in addition to a large group of children whose parents are incarcerated.

These children never go on holiday, and hardly ever get taken on fun outings. The 'vacation-plan' is there to provide just that for these children. To find these children we work together with the Probation-office, who assists these families.

To the beach

The vacation-plan is meant for children up to 12 years of age and is offered free of charge. The days are filled with fun, relaxation, activities and education. Examples are a visit to the Sea Aquarium, the zoo, playing sports, or the children's favorite: a trip to the beach!! The children are fed throughout the day and get treats. We pick the  children up and take them home. At the end of the activities the children receive an award to remember

An unforgettable time

We always need extra assistance during this time, because we are working with a lot more children. In addition to our team, volunteers from the Netherlands and the island help out to offer these children the time of their life, something they will never forget. Experience shows that these weeks are unforgettable' for volunteers and staff as well. Watching these carefree children enjoy themselves and play their hearts out is heart-warming. You can't help but join them!!
